FOODSlot ("FOODSlot", "we", "us") is a reservation service for local food vendors, operated as a sole proprietorship by Christopher Nelson. This policy explains what we collect when you use foodslot.app and how we use it.
What we collect
- Phone number and name. You give these to sign in and to put a name on your ticket. We verify your number with a one-time passcode sent by text.
- Order details. The slots you claim, the items you order, pickup times, order codes, and payment status.
- Payment information. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only Stripe's reference identifiers.
- Optional details. Email address and Instagram handle, if you choose to add them.
- Technical data. A session cookie that keeps your reservation attached to your browser, and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To run your reservation: holding your slot, building your order, taking payment, and letting the vendor prepare and hand off your food.
- To text you about your own order: the sign-in code, your paid confirmation and pickup details, waitlist offers you asked for, and reminders before your pickup window.
- To text you announcements about upcoming drops from vendors you have ordered from, only if you ticked the consent box on the sign-in form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP.
- To share your name, order and pickup details with the vendor you ordered from, so they can prepare and hand off your order.
SMS opt-in data
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number and consent status are used only by FOODSlot to send the messages described above. Text messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging provider, which processes your number solely to deliver those messages.
Who else sees your data
- The vendor you ordered from sees your name, order, pickup window, and contact details for that order.
- Stripe processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
- Twilio delivers our text messages.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site.
We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Keeping and deleting data
Order records are kept as a record of the transaction and as dispute evidence. You can ask us to delete your account and personal details at any time by emailing hello@foodslot.app; we keep only what payment and tax rules require.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop announcement messages. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help.
- Email us to see, correct, or delete the details we hold about you.
